The College of Science (CS) created a team to issue guidelines for CS activities and access to buildings and areas within the College. The CS Post-ECQ Team (PET) has issued several Guidelines for the different AITF Alert Levels for NCR and/or QC area.

Alert Level 2

The College of Science observes the following general guidelines for Alert Level 2.

Approval of Work Arrangements

The approval of work arrangements shall be delegated to the respective Institutes (Unit PET / Director), subject to conditions below. The work schedule shall be uploaded to the folder in the Google drive of the CS PET.

  1. Physical Reporting – The number of the physically reporting personnel shall not exceed 50% on-site capacity for offices. Should more than 50% be necessary, these personnel in excess of 50% must seek the approval of the Dean through the CS Limited Access Portal (https://www.online.science.upd.edu.ph). Limit physical interaction and overlap of staff that would be physically reporting. Utilization of unused rooms (i.e., spillover rooms and classrooms) is highly recommended. Building operating hours are strictly from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Overnight stay shall not be allowed. Students are still not allowed to report physically, except those approved under the F2F arrangement, and whose access schedules were also approved through the CS portal system.
Update the uploaded proposed work schedule with actual physically reporting personnel.
  2. Work-From-Home (WFH) monitoring system – Alternative work arrangement with a WFH monitoring scheme is highly encouraged.

Field Work

Field work application must be addressed to the Chancellor through channels via the Office of the Associate Dean for Research, Innovation, Development and Enterprise (OADRIDE).

Other Concerns

  1. All Units are advised to be prepared to adjust to a stricter alert level and revert to CS Limited Access mode.
  2. Report all COVID-19 positive cases to the CS PET immediately.
  3. Kindly reiterate and implement the health safety protocols inside the buildings.
    1. All personnel must undergo a health self-screening prior to physical reporting. Please have them take their body temperature before entering the buildings.
    2. Face masks should be worn properly to prevent further transmission.
    3. Ensure ample supply of 70% isopropyl or ethyl alcohol. It is recommended to have sanitizing stations around the building where staff and personnel can disinfect regularly. All restrooms should have hand wash and alcohol.
    4. Enforce social distancing. Ensure that staff have ample space in the building. Social interactions or gatherings are discouraged.
    5. Kindly have maintenance personnel ensure good ventilation inside the offices. All rooms must have electric fans and all windows and doors must be kept open during work hours.
